The Hoover Media Arts Academy allows students the opportunity to major in Art while they are pursuing their high school diploma. We provide both traditional and interdisciplinary project-based learning in the evolving field of arts and media.  Our students work with professional artists and instructors to create portfolios of work aimed at admittance into college programs and careers. The Academy's collaborative environment emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, meaningful community service and the development of leadership skills. We value integrity, teamwork and a passion for learning that prepares our diverse student body to succeed in the global community.  Hoover MAAc students take three or more Arts related courses over a period of four years and graduate with Academy honors.
